However, PPC search engine advertising does not end there. It is important to understand that although PPC search engine advertising generates leads, it is also important for users to find relevant information at the website they are directed to. Common / generic keywords

Common generic keywords are keywords that are broad base keywords that can describe the whole industry. An excellent example is Volleyball. Volleyball describes that whole sport. So imagine, if you knew in the internet marketing industry with the big boys of your niche already dominating the market, it will very difficult to compete against them for that particular generic keyword.

Also, as the keyword is so common, a lot of ignorant internet marketing novices are bidding on keywords like that. As such the price of those common generic keywords are very high. If your website is not converting sales at all, all that advertising budget is going to waste. The good news is… there is a way around it…use Long-tail keywords!

Long-tail keywords

Long-tail keywords are keywords that are longer in length, often a 3-words keyword or a phrase describing what your website offers. Often, using long-tail keywords help to describe your website is more details and with greater depth.

The best part is due to the relatively lesser competition of longer keywords, the bidding price also decreases significantly.

The main advantage of using long-tail keywords is that you pay much lesser advertising dollars for a more targeted traffic to your website.

The downside is that it may take more time to establish those keywords, and novice marketers do not how to do it! Our advice is to use keywords research tools or software like WordTracker and Google Keywords.

Reason 3: Good Return on Investment (ROI)

As we have mentioned earlier, PPC advertising is one of the cheapest form of advertising on the internet and if done correctly and properly, the amount of targeted traffic to your website will be massive with the cost relatively low.

The only concern left will be the quality of your website and how well it converts traffic into sales, commonly known as “conversion”. With good conversion percentage coupled with super targeted traffic, you will spend half the cost to gain twice the profit. Therefore, PPC search engine advertising is one the fastest way to get a good return on investment on your advertising campaign.
