Website traffic statistics can be measured many different ways - there are various measurement tools provided by 3rd parties, as well as your web host site.

The main problem that I find with any tracking company is that if they rely on tracking links to gather their data - once you start using them you have to stay with them or you will lose your links - likewise if they go out of business or lose their data you will lose all your links. I personally use Aweber web form statistics for measuring my total views, unique visitors, conversion to subs, and conversion to sales. Additionally you can track email opens, and click thru conversion rates. In layman’s terms to calculate an opt in conversion rate you need to know the total amount of traffic that goes to a specific web page, and the number of opt in subscribers. Lets say there were 20 subscribers today, and there was total of 100 visitors - divide 20 by 100 = 0.2. Your conversion rate is 20%. How do you increase your web site statistics, you ask?

  • - Increase traffic from a specific source (buy more, write more articles)
  • - Increase your conversion rate from initial traffic to subscribers (larger list)
  • - Increase your conversion rate from initial buyers to 2nd time priority buyers
  • - Increase traffic sources (PPC, Article Marketing, Joint Ventures, Press Releases)
  • - Increase scope of offers to your first subscribers list
  • - Increase revenue conversion rates by increasing offer quantity and values
  • - Increase the number of lists by adding other niche or sub niche markets

First, choose and test one traffic source until you are getting reasonable conversion rates at every step through your sales funnel.  Second, test another source completely before committing it to your strategy. It is important to study and master each traffic source before adding others. Do you want to learn more about how I do it?
